Screen

To adjust the aspect ratio of the viewed content, first go to the input source for which you wish to change the aspect ratio, then press the XXX.GST (quick settings) button on the remote and select [Screen] from the menu that appears. Within the [Screen] menu, you'll find the following options:


[Automatic] Automatically displays the best image format to ensure the image is in the correct position. May have black lines at the top/bottom and/or sides.

[Full] – Displays the picture in full screen mode. A 16:9 signal will be displayed in its original proportion, while other picture formats will be stretched to fill the screen.

[Super zoom] – Displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size; the picture is stretched horizontally and vertically and its left and right edges are enlarged. This crops out some of the top and bottom of the picture.

[Unscaled] – Displays the picture in its original resolution at the centre of the screen. If the picture has a lower resolution than the TV, black bars will appear on all four sides.

[4:3] – Displays a 16:9 picture at a 4:3 size, shortening it horizontally. Sidebars appear on both edges of the screen. Displays a 4:3 picture in its original size, with sidebars to fill the 16:9 screen.

[Movie expand 14:9] – Stretches a 4:3 picture to fit a 14:9 size, cropping some of the top and bottom. Sidebars appear on both edges of the screen.

[Movie expand 16:9] – Stretches a 4:3 picture to fit a 16:9 size, cropping some of the top and bottom.
