Tuning satellite channels (general)

This section provides guidance on how to tune channels from a specific satellite, such as ASTRA 19.2E.

Before tuning satellite channels, make sure that the TV is in [Preferred Satellite] mode:

1.Press the XXX.GST (quick settings) button, then select [Settings] > [Channels & Inputs] > [Channels] > [Satellite] > [Channel Installation Mode].

2.Select option [General Satellite].


To initiate the satellite scanning process, follow these steps:

1.Press the XXX.GST (quick settings) button, then select [Settings] > [Channels & Inputs] > [Channels] > [Satellite] > [Satellite Re-scan].

2.Select [Next] to proceed with the scan or choose [More] to select specific scan mode.

If you select [More], there are several types of satellite scan modes to choose from. Select the one that corresponds to your satellite system:

[Single] – Scan the channels of a single satellite.

[Tone Burst] – Scan the channels from up to 2 satellites.

[DiSEqC 1.0] – Scan the channels from up to 4 satellites.

[DiSEqC 1.1] – Scan the channels from up to 16 satellites.

[DiSEqC 1.2] – Use this option if you have a satellite antenna with a single axis motor.

[Unicable I] – Scan the channels from up to 2 satellites with up to 8 User Band Number.

[Unicable II] – Scan the channels from up to 4 satellites with up to 32 User Band Number.

3.Select the satellite you want to scan and press OK.

4.Change the available settings if necessary:

[Satellite Status] – This feature allows you to deactivate the tuning ability for the currently selected satellite. In cases where you have the capability to tune multiple satellites, but you choose not to tune the currently selected satellite, you can utilize this option to disable it.

[Satellite selection] – Displays the name of the currently selected satellite. Modification is not possible.

[Scan mode] – This option allows you to select how channels should be scanned:

[Full] – Scan all channels on all available transponders on all possible frequencies.

[Network] – Scan for channels on all available transponders. When a homing channel is found, its Network Information Table (NIT) is read and additional channels are quickly tuned based on it.

[Scan type] – Select the type of channels to be tuned.

[All] – All channels will be tuned.

[Only Encrypted Channels] – Tunes only encrypted channels that require a CAM module or CAM with a smart card.

[Only Free Channels] – Only free channels will be tuned.

[Store type] – Selects the type of channels to be stored in the TV memory after tuning.

[All] – All channels will be stored.

[Only Digital Channels] – Only TV channels will be stored.

[Only Radio Channels] – Only radio channels will be stored.

[LNB configurations] – View or set the LNB configurations for LNB Power, LNB Frequency, Tone 22KHz, Signal Quality and Signal Level.

[Transponder] – Settings for tuning a single transponder.

[Signal Quality] – Shows the quality of the signal for the currently selected satellite.

[Signal Level] – Indicates the strength of the signal for the currently selected satellite.

5.Select [Next] to initiate the scanning process.


To tune only single transponder, please follow the steps below:

1.Press the XXX.GST (quick settings) button, then select [Settings] > [Channels & Inputs] > [Channels] > [Satellite] > [Satellite Manual Tuning].

2.Select the satellite you want to scan and press OK.

3.In [Transponder] set [Frequency], [Symbol Rate] and [Polarization] of transponder you want to tune.

4.Select [Next] to proceed the scan.
