Home screen

The Google TV Home screen serves as the central hub for accessing various features and content on your TV. It provides a user-friendly interface that allows you to navigate and explore different apps, recommendations, and settings.

Profile Switching – Google TV supports multiple user profiles, allowing each family member to have their own personalized experience. The Profile Switching feature lets you switch between user profiles to access individualized recommendations and settings.

Home – The Home screen is the main landing page of the Google TV interface. It displays a customizable layout with content recommendations, recently accessed apps, and personalized suggestions based on your viewing habits.

Apps – The Apps section of the Home screen gives you quick access to all the installed applications on your Google TV. You can browse and launch your favourite streaming services, games, productivity tools, and other apps from this section.

Library – List of your purchased, rented and watchlisted content.

Search – The Search feature enables you to search for specific content across various streaming platforms, apps, and channels. Simply enter the title, actor, or keyword using the on-screen keyboard, and Google TV will display relevant results.

Quick Settings – In Quick Settings, you can customise and configure the most used aspects of Google TV, such as display settings, audio settings and network settings. Notifications are displayed at the bottom. If you leave the XXX.GST (gear icon) selected and press OK, you'll be taken to the full settings.

Note:

The above description of the Home screen applies when at least one Google account is linked to the TV. If you choose not to use any account during the initial installation, the Home screen will be simplified with fewer options.
